The Southwest Washington State Fairgrounds was founded in 1909 and is still up and running in the month of August. One of the founding fathers was E.C. Truesdell, an avid harness racing enthusiast, as was the Governor at that time, Roland Hartley. This poster was produced in 1983 to celebrate Fair Meadows Harness Racing, one of the last years harness racing was seen in Washington State. Bright and colorful with beautiful art, cardboard ready to frame, a lovely gift for the harness racer or equine collector. The artist is Marge Opitz Burridge, a well-known illustrator of that era. C1983, measures 20 ½ x 13 inches.
